Gandydancer, if women could control their bodies, they wouldn't need democratic laws which allow them to kill another body.. SS and Medicare for all sounds great. But unless we have aircraft carriers protecting our country, we won't have Medicare nor SS as our country will cease to exist. If SS really mattered to Democrats, Obama wouldn't have changed the law which directed employers to report a SSN being used by more than one person in the case where illegals use a fake # to gain employment

Be careful what you wish for.
Keep in mind those European Socialist countries they like to quote. The poor pay higher taxes than the rich. Yes you get more government benefits but you get less choice of how you spend your money, they take your money and then dictate how you will spend it. Tax rates on the poor as high as 60% are common in Europe. Also that college for all folks in the US talk about in Germany, only 1 in 3 Germans qualify for that......
I expect little will be done on the national level for the next 2 years. I do hope the Democrats learn from history. If they don't want Donald Trump to win reelection in 2020 then I'd stop the impeachment and investigations they worked so well against Clinton and Obama......
Based on local elections I don't expect much change in the County Commissioners or the Board of Education. I don't understand why folks keep electing Sands, he doesn't even live here but part time, how can he be expected to vote with the county's best interest.
We'll have to keep an eye out. I do believe change will come at the Sheriff's Department, but it might be more gradual than some would like.

Democrat issues : Healthcare for all..Women can control their bodies..Clean air and water..Civil rights for all..No voter discrimination ( like the Native Americans in N. Dakota being denied the right to vote) SS and Medicare are more important than another aircraft carrier ..Billionaires don't need more tax breaks..(how much would ever be enough?)

Anyway, House is now 141 to 140 for Democrats. This is stressing me out, I'm going to bed!  I'll probably be back up in a few hours to see how it's going, though
